Like all federal agencies, the National Science Foundation (NSF) is required under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) to disclose records in accordance with the Act and NSF Regulations. Agencies may withhold information pursuant to nine exemptions and three exclusions contained in the statute. For further information about FOIA and how to make a request, please visit the OGC FOIA webpage.
