Data

There are two types of resources researchers can currently access: digital data, and physical and biological specimens. Visit www.neondataskills.org for data tutorials, code and resources.

Digital Data
Anyone can access NEON data products as they become available. All digital NEON data products will be available to the public via the NEON Data Portal. Types of digital data include sensor, organismal sampling, remote sensing data and their associated metadata, as well as acquisition and sampling protocols and procedures.
Physical and Biological Specimens
Biological specimens are being collected, imaged, catalogued and stored. Digital images and physical specimens will be available in the future. Currently only soils are available for requested use by researchers.

These resources cover five key data themes: Atmosphere; Biogeochemistry; Ecohydrology; Land Use, Land Cover and Land Processes; and Organisms, Populations and Communities. Use the hyperlinks below to learn more about each theme.
