MicroStrain’s EmbedSense sensor, currently being used by a major helicopter engine manufacturer to measure the temperature of the blades of jet turbine engines. The sensor can withstand temperatures up to 150 degrees Celsius (302 degrees Farenheit) and accelerations equivalent to 50,000 times the force of gravity.
