Journey to Planet Earth

PBS presents "Journey to Planet Earth," a television series exploring the delicate relationship between people and the natural world they inhabit. All episodes share a common thread: the necessity to achieve a balance between the needs of people and the needs of the environment. The program's companion Web site features resources for educators, including a comprehensive learning experience on global environmental change and our health.

A new episode, "The State of the Planet's Oceans," premieres Wednesday, March 18, 2009, on PBS stations. Host and Academy Award winner Matt Damon reports on the health of the world's oceans, and its impacts on marine industries and glacial melt.
