The Integrative Programs Section within the Division of Ocean Sciences (OCE) in the Directorate of Geosciences (GEO) announces a nationwide search for a Program Director (Permanent) with experience and expertise in cyberinfrastructure/cybersecurity.

The Integrative Programs Section supports oceanographic facilities including the Academic Research Fleet (ARF), the Ocean Observatories Initiative (OOI) and the Ocean Discovery Program (ODP).

This Program Director will be responsible for developing and managing a comprehensive cyberinfrastructure plan with a focus on cybersecurity for the ARF as well as for other infrastructure. In addition, the PD will manage the HiSeasNet program (internet at sea) for the fleet, the development/implementation of a standardized network architecture, and serve as the NSF representative for the SatNAG (Satellite Network Advisory Group) and the CIWG (Cyberinfrastructure Working Group).
