a vet and trauma REU student and his dog

Trauma REU student Charles Preuss, a U.S. Army veteran and sophomore at Syracuse University, works with his shelter dog, Bear. Trauma REU students are studying duos like Preuss and Bear matched through Dogs2Vets, a pet therapy program run by a New York-based nonprofit supporting veterans. Trauma REU students are collecting data on Dogs2Vets to analyze how the program benefits veterans coping with post-traumatic stress disorder or other trauma issues.
