ABSTRACT

Pullin

This award will support a workshop organized by Jorge Pullin of the Louisiana State University and Rodolfo Gambini of the University of The Republic in Uruguay held in conjunction with the fourth "Quantum Gravity in the Southern Cone workshop" in Punta del Este, Uruguay, October 2007. This workshop will strengthen ties among the network of researchers in Latin America and the US working in the area of quantum gravity, and will help advance this field by providing the opportunity for researchers working on competing paradigms within the field to discuss their ideas. In addition the workshop will provide an international experience to junior U.S. scientists and students in a stimulating environment.
