Synopsis 49100419Q0086: Annual Support for 2020 Federal Committee Conference

The National Science Foundation (NSF) intends to make an award to COPAFS for the Annual Support for 2020 Federal Committee Conference to be held at the Washington Convention Center April 13th-16th, 2020.

COPAFS is unique among non-profit and for-profit organizations in that it has formal, on-going agreements with the professional organizations whose members use federal statistics for research and analytical purposes, and with the Office of Management and Budget's Federal Committee on Statistical Methodology (FCSM), whose members represent all Principal Federal Statistical Agencies as well as a number of other statistical agencies. This unique set of relations, which exists in no other public or private organization, makes COPAFS the bridge between the scientific users and the federal agency producers of federal statistics.

COPAFS will coordinate effort to plan and hold conferences and seminars dealing with issues of importance to the federal statistical community. As a deliverable, the papers will be presented to all attendees at the conference and copies will be distributed to NCSES. Additionally, all announcements, reports, and proceedings associated with the 2020 FCSM Research and Policy conference will be non-proprietary and will be made available to the public.

The period of performance will be April 13, 2019 through April 16, 2020.

The proposed contract action is for services for which the government intends to sponsor with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. This synopsis is for information purpose only.
