Rep. Yoho visiting UF Friday to learn about NSF-supported research

On Friday, Nov. 17, U.S. Rep. Ted Yoho will visit the University of Florida to learn more about research discoveries made possible by the National Science Foundation (NSF). UF President Kent Fuchs will host the event, a pilot project of the NSF’s National Science Board, of which he is a member.  

NSF is the only federal agency to support fundamental research across all fields of science. This Friday’s tour will feature NSF-funded students and faculty, and showcase their research.

 

SCHEDULE

8:15 - 9:15 a.m.

Graduate Research Fellow Meeting

226 Tigert Hall, President’s Office Conference Room

  •  Roundtable discussion led by David Norton, UF’s Vice President for Research. Each Fellow will give a ten-minute poster presentation of their research.

 

9:30 - 10:30 a.m.

UF Researchers Meeting

JHH202 Hernandez Hall, Kincart Conference Room

  • Roundtable discussion led by David Norton. Each faculty member will discuss their research for five to ten minutes and will provide a one pager about their work.
