Independence Hall-where the Liberty Bell first rang when the building was the Pennsylvania State House-will serve as a prominent backdrop for the new center where the Liberty Bell will soon reside. The bell itself will be placed in the center of the space in front of the windows. Workers were still cleaning up and putting finishing touches on the center in late August.
