Job opening for Engineering Design and Systems Engineering program director

February 14, 2024

The Division of Civil, Mechanical and Manufacturing Innovation (CMMI), within the U.S. National Science Foundation Directorate for Engineering (ENG), seeks to fill a Program Director position in the Operations and Design cluster, leading the Engineering Design & Systems Engineering program.

The Engineering Design & Systems Engineering (EDSE) program supports fundamental research that advances design science and/or systems science through the creation of new knowledge about the design of engineered artifacts. The program focuses on design as a system, in which designers, the artifacts they create, the methods they use to create them, and the environment in which this occurs are all subject to rigorous scientific inquiry, along with the interactions among these elements.

Formal consideration of interested applicants will begin February 9, 2024, and will continue until a selection is made.
