Nobel-prize-winning physicist Albert Einstein is best known for his theory of relativity and specifically mass-energy equivalence, E = mc2. In popular culture the name "Einstein" has become synonymous with genius. That is part of the inspiration behind the Albert Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellowship Act, which was signed into law in November 1994.
