These data were compiled from the National Science Foundation (NSF) Survey of Postdocs at Federally Funded Research and Development Centers, Fall 2013. The survey collects aggregate counts of postdoctoral researcher (postdocs) at each FFRDC according to the postdoc's source of financial support, citizenship, sex, ethnicity, race, and field of research. The FFRDC Postdoc Survey began in 2005 and is administered in conjunction with the Survey on Graduate Students and Postdoctorates in Science and Engineering (GSS).
