Dr. Wang is a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California, Riverside, CA. He is Director for the University of California Center for Ubiquitous Communication by Light (UC-Light). His research covers AMS/RF ICs, Semiconductor and Emerging Devices, Design-for-Reliability, 3D Heterogeneous Integration, and LED-based Visible Light Communications. He published one book and over 290 papers in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. He holds 16 U.S. patents.
Wang received NSF CAREER Award. He is Fellow of National Academy of Inventors, Fellow of IEEE and Fellow of AAAS. He was President (2014-2015) for IEEE Electron Devices Society. His editorial board services include IEEE Transactions on Device and Materials Reliability, IEEE Electron Device Letters, IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems I & II, IEEE Journal of Solid-Stated Circuits, IEEE Transactions on Electron Devices, and Journal of Engineering. He was General Chair for IEEE Radio-Frequency Integrated Circuits (RFIC) Symposium (2016) and IEEE Electron Devices Technology and Manufacturing (EDTM) Conference (2021). He is/was IEEE Distinguished Lecturer for the ELectron Devices Society, the Circuits and Systems Society and the Solid-State Circuits Society.
