2.   Unless otherwise specified, the term "program announcement" alos refers to program solicitations and other NSF proposal-generating mechanisms.

3.   As used in this Guide, the term "Principal Investigator" also includes the term "Project Director".

4.   Unless otherwise specified, the term "organization" refers to all categories of proposers

5.   Target dates are cutoff dates after which proposals will still be reviewed although they may miss a particular panel or committee meeting

6.   Deadlines are cutoff dates after which proposals usually will not be accepted for review by NSF
