The geostationary meteorological satellite data from ABOM are used to construct the composite infrared images and the water vapor vector winds currently available to the McMurdo Meteorology Office, Antarctica. Near real-time antarctic meteorological data are made available to the World community through the UWAMRC. The United States National Center for Environmental Prediction (NCEP) provides gridded medium-range forecasts to the AMRC.
