 Figure 1. A photograph ( upper ) and a sketch copy ( lower ) of the Dais layered intrusion exposed in the cliffs of the east nose of the Dais of upper Wright Valley. The vertical thickness of the largest portion of the intrusion is about 200 m; a similar thickness is hidden by the debris cover. The intrusion is capped by the Irzar Granite, which is about 450 million years old.
