Outbreaks of cholera occurred in South Africa, Tanzania, Chad, Afghanistan, India, West Africa, and Nigeria; yellow fever in Brazil, Cote d’Ivoire, Peru, Liberia, Guinea, and imported cases in Belgium; measles in the Republic of Korea; acute neurological syndrome in Bangladesh; meningococcal disease in the African Meningitis Belt, Ethiopia, Angola, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Somalia; ebola in Uganda and Gabon; plague in Zambia; cocidioidomycosis in Britain; anthrax in the United States; legionellosis in Spain and Norway; and Crimean-Congo heamorrhagic fever in Kosovo.
