PI on the STC Center for Energy Efficient Electronics at UC Berkeley receives the 2016 Oliver E. Buckley Condensed Matter Prize

Professor Eli Yablonovitch, a PI on the Science and Technology Center for Energy Efficient Electronics at the University of California - Berkeley, received the 2016 Oliver E. Buckley Condense Matter Prize.

Professor Yablonovitch was awarded "For seminal achievements in solar cells and strained quantum well lasers, and especially for creating the field of photonic crystals, spanning both fundamental science and practical applications of that science.”
