New study sheds light (and some shade) on anole diversification

The Greater Antilles are home to more than 100 species of Anolis lizards. The success of these reptiles is often attributed to the evolution of distinct body shapes and behaviors that allow them to occupy ecological niches. A study from an international team of biologists including the University of Missouri reports that the evolution of physiological differences may have been just as important as these physical differences.Full Story
