New techniques measure fairness and discrimination in software

A new technique developed by UMass Amherst computer scientists automatically tests software for discrimination. They group hopes the technique will empower stakeholders to better understand software behavior, judge when unwanted bias is present, and, ultimately improve the software.Full Story
