Quasars may answer how starburst galaxies were extinguished

University of Iowa astronomers have located quasars inside four dusty starburst galaxies. The observations suggest quasars may starve this type of galaxy of energy needed to form stars. Results of this research are published in the Astrophysical Journal.Full Story
