MCB Submission Deadlines
November 15, 2016 is the next deadline for proposals submitted to core programs in the Division of Molecular and Cellular Biosciences (MCB). See solicitation 13-510 for updated cluster descriptions and guidelines.
January 16, 2017 is the next deadline for REU, RET, RAHSS, and ROA supplements in MCB. Click "Additional Resources" in the left navigation for guidance about supplemental funding requests.
All deadlines require submission by 5:00PM, submitter’s local time, on the listed day. If the listed date falls on a weekend or holiday, proposals are due by 5:00PM the next business day. Deadlines for all funding opportunities can be found by clicking "Funding" in the left navigation.
The National Science Foundation (NSF) is an independent federal agency that supports fundamental research and education across all fields of science and engineering. In fiscal year (FY) 2016, its budget is $7.5 billion. NSF funds reach all 50 states through grants to nearly 2,000 colleges, universities and other institutions. Each year, NSF receives more than 48,000 competitive proposals for funding and makes about 12,000 new funding awards. NSF also awards about $626 million in professional and service contracts yearly.
