Climate change research goes to the extremes

Statistical analyses of global climate models predict a wider range of temperature extremes in the future. Northeastern University researchers used a Big Data computational approach to discover that while global warming will continue, we may still experience severe cold snaps due to increasing variability in temperature extremes.Full Story

The U.S. National Science Foundation propels the nation forward by advancing fundamental research in all fields of science and engineering.
