Opening a wide window on the nano-world of surface catalysis

That's what University of South Carolina chemist Hui Wang and co-workers built by bridging a size gap on the nanoscale. Their silver nanoparticles combine plasmon resonance with catalytic activity, making Surface enhanced Ramon Spectroscopy and other analytical data available in real time on a surface catalyst.Full Story
