PCP Genetic Pathway Acts as Stop Sign for Cell Growth

Little is known about how new cell growth is halted during normal processes. Tufts University biologists have found that the planar cell polarity pathway signals organisms when to stop cell growth. Controlling cellular growth is important to advances in areas such as tissue regeneration and prevention and treatment of birth defects and cancer.Full Story
