A water droplet on a waterproofed circuit board.

The photo shows a water droplet on a printed circuit board that had been coated in Integrated Surface Technologies' RPX-540 system with the Repellix super-hydrophobic nanocomposite coating. The water contact angle is more than 165 degrees, when measured on polished silicon with a goniometer. Water cannot spread and cause damage to the electrical components, it simply bounces off. The connectors are equally protected, without masking them.
