Strange Matter lets visitors explore materials with unexpected properties, such as liquids that are magnetic; 'feel' atoms with a model of an atomic force microscope; or enjoy the 'music' of the different materials used in a xylophone.
The exhibit opened at the museum Oct. 25, 2007, and was brought to Puerto Rico by the PENN - University of Puerto Rico at Humacao Partnership for Research and Education in Materials, a program sponsored by the U.S. National Science Foundation. (Date of Image: October-November 2007)
