Graduate student prepares sediment samples collected from Greenland
A graduate student prepares sediment samples that were collected from underneath Camp Century, a former Cold War U.S. military facility, and the Greenland Ice Sheet. Researchers’ luminescence dating of the samples revealed that Greenland was once much greener, as recently as 416,000 years ago.
