A new technology, similar to motion-capture used to make animated movies, uses probes and fluorescence data to construct computational models of protein structures in atomic detail. These models track how the proteins fold and change shape, information which could improve drugs used to treat neurodegenerative diseases, as well as new methods of imaging to lead to their early detection.
