La clave del éxito/The key to success – Hispanic Heritage Month

Why should Latinos and Puerto Ricans consider studying STEM fields and becoming entrepreneurs?

Entrepreneurship is the recipe for success. I have been teaching for 20 years and I’m very proud of everything I have achieved with graduate students and undergraduate students. But the dynamic of entrepreneurship is that it helps you take control of your future and that success depends on what you do. So, do it. Don’t think twice and the you will have the support not only from me but from important agencies like The National Science Foundation known as “NSF”. I went through the process and I leave the way paved for those who will follow.

Belinda Pastrana, CEO of Protein Dynamic Solutions a small business funded by the National Science Foundation, inspires Puerto Ricans, Hispanics and Latinos to pursue STEM careers and become entrepreneurs.

Protein Dynamic Solutions is supported by America’s Seed Fund powered by the National Science Foundation, a nearly $200 million program that awards research and development grants to small businesses and startups, transforming scientific discovery into products and services with commercial and societal impact.
