NSF Director with congressional delegation in Greenland

NSF Director France A. Córdova and a House of Representativesí congressional delegation visit the seaport at Thule Air Base in Greenland.


National Science Foundation (NSF) Director France A. Córdova and a House of Representativesí congressional delegation, led by Science Committee Chairman Lamar Smith (TX-21), visit the seaport at Thule Air Base. The seaport is only open two months out of the year and is vital for getting supplies in and out of the air base. It's the world's northern-most deep-sea port. The trip to Greenland took place May 11 to 14, 2017.
