Centers and Large Facilities - Education and Outreach
Research centers, facilities, and large research projects funded by the Directorate of Geosciences at NSF have education and outreach programs to serve their communities and the broader public. Professional staff in these organizations commonly provide expertise in "best-practices" to scientific researchers in designing and implementing programs to address the broader impacts of their research. These programs also provide a network of researchers interested in communicating scientific results to different audiences.
