Gearing up for Astronomy Night 2015
The White House Astronomy Night will kick off an astronomy-palooza across the nation, where national observatories, planetariums and amateur astronomy clubs and schools have been invited to host their own "star parties" and events.

While the Washington, D.C., cityscape lights make hinder how much White House Astronomy Night participants can see that night, here is a poster of the constellations that should be visible from this part the U.S. on Oct. 19, especially if one is able to view the night sky from a more remote area.
