Magnetic Fields in Far Away Galaxies Observed to be 10 Times Stronger than those in Milky Way

This discovery was enabled by the Robert C. Byrd Green Bank Telescope (GBT). Funded by NSF, the GBT is the world's largest, fully steerable radio telescope and is located at the National Radio Astronomy Observatory's site in Green Bank, Pocahontas County, W. Va.
