NSF/NCSES Restricted–Use Data Procedures Guide
The Restricted-Use Data Procedures Guide is available in Adobe PDF formats. Persons interested in obtaining restricted use data must complete and return information requested in Appendices C, D, E, and F of the Guide. The PDF fillable format type allows users to enter responses in the form fields and print the completed forms, however responses can be saved electronically only in Adobe Acrobat Professional. Responses cannot be saved using Adobe Acrobat Reader. Users can then sign the printed forms where appropriate and submit the documents to NCSES. For users who want to print blank forms, please use the PDF read only version. PDF Read Only Licensing Guide and PDF Fillable Licensing Application Forms
Users can type their responses directly into the fillable forms in Adobe Acrobat Reader or Adobe Acrobat Professional. However, users cannot save their responses electronically using Acrobat Reader. The forms must be printed when all fields are completed, otherwise entered information will be lost. The Adobe Acrobat Professional software does allow users to save form data electronically by re-saving the file.
