Significant Changes to the Grant General Conditions (GC-1) Dated 10/98 * Prior Approval Requirements, Article 2, has been revised to notify recipients that some NSF Directorates require electronic submission of notifications to and requests for approval from NSF. Recipients can check the FastLane Web site prior to submission to see if submission via FastLane is required. * No-Cost Extensions, Article 4, has been revised to stipulate that some NSF Directorates now require electronic submission of both notifications of grantee authorized extensions and requests for NSF approved extensions via FastLane. Recipients can check the FastLane Web site prior to submission to see if submission via FastLane is required. * Consultant Services, Article 6, has been revised to update the statutory maximum daily rate that may be paid to individuals for consultant services. In addition, a web site address is provided that contains the most current rate available. * Annual Project Report Requirements, Article 15, and Final Report Requirements, Article 16, have been revised to require use of the new annual and final project report formats effective October 1, 1998. While electronic submission is strongly encouraged, paper copies of the report formats may be obtained from the NSF Clearinghouse. * Year 2000 Computer Problem, Article 41, has been added to remind NSF recipients of their responsibilities and the resources available to them regarding the year 2000.
