Jennifer Yttri is an AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellow at the National Science Foundation in the Division of Information and Intelligent Systems, Directorate for Computer and Information Science and Engineering (CISE/IIS). She earned her Ph.D. in immunology from Washington University in St. Louis studying how T cells differentiate between self and foreign proteins. Previously, Dr. Yttri was a fellow at the National Research Center for Women & Families, a consumer health advocacy non-profit organization, where she managed policies related to antibiotic use, drug R&D, and FDA regulation. She continues to pursue this interest in her work at NSF on the Smart Health program.
