Medical Evacuation Flights -- Amundsen-Scott South Pole and McMurdo Stations

In April, 2001 the National Science Foundation (NSF) coordinated medical evacuation flights to Amundsen-Scott South Pole and McMurdo stations in Antarctica. NSF manages the U.S. Antarctic Program, which coordinates U.S. research on the continent and in surrounding waters.
