Symposium Features Nation's Top Math, Science, Engineering Mentors

A one-day symposium on national mentoring strategies will be hosted March 17 at the St. Regis hotel and will feature the nation's top mathematics, science and engineering mentors. The symposium, which is part of the Presidential Awards for Excellences in Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Mentoring and is hosted by the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, will focus best practices to include underrepresented minority populaces and women in mathematics, science and engineering opportunities.

Dr. Judith A. Ramaley, Assistant Director, Education and Human Resources, National Science Foundation

Recipients of the 2002 Presidential Awards for Excellence in Science, Mathematics and Engineering Mentoring.

What:

Symposium on strategies for encouraging the development of minority and disabled persons and women as scientists, engineers and mathematicians.
