National Science Board (NSB)

The National Science Board establishes the policies of the U.S. National Science Foundation and serves as advisor to Congress and the president.

The board approves major NSF awards, provides congressional testimony and issues statements relevant to the nation's science and engineering enterprise.

Members

The NSB is made up of 25 members appointed by the U.S. president. Members are drawn from industry and universities, and represent a variety of science and engineering disciplines and geographic areas.
