The pompeii worm is the most heat tolerant animal known. It can survive at 80°C (176°F). It lives within paper like tubes and sometimes can be seen reaching its tentacle like gills out of a tube. The worm looks fuzzy, because of the symbiotic bacteria that live in filaments on it.
