Revolutionary discovery leads to invention of new 'building blocks'

Taking a revolutionary "building blocks" approach, a research team led by Stephen Z.D. Cheng of the University of Akron invented a new thinking pathway in the design and synthesis of macromolecules by creating an original class of giant tetrahedra. Through a reaction called "click chemistry," these tetrahedron building blocks can then be precisely manipulated to unite with other tetrahedrons.Full Story
