May 1, 2013
Amy McGovern, associate professor in the School of Computer Science and adjunct associate professor in the School of Meteorology at the University of Oklahoma, instructs college students and coaches a children's robotics team, saying that a gender imbalance in computer science starts at the elementary-school level or even before. She also makes connections so that students see that what they're doing has an application to the real world.
