NSF-funded Supercomputers Shed Light on Human Hearing

Computer simulations carried out on NSF-supported super computing resources--Ranger at the Texas Advanced Computer Center, University of Texas at Austin, and Kraken at the National Institute for Computational Sciences at the University of Tennessee and Oak Ridge National Laboratory--enabled research on two proteins involved in inherited deafness, insights from which are detailed in a paper in this week's journal Nature.
