NSF awards grants for study of Nepal earthquake
Research aims to help people in Nepal and beyond become more resilient in natural disasters

NSF has funded rapid response grants for the Nepal earthquake of April 25, 2015.

The Nepal quake claimed more than 8,800 human lives, and injured nearly 23,000 people.

NSF-supported researchers were among the first U.S. scientific teams on the scene after the quake.
