New NSF Investment to Accelerate Innovation Research

Dr. Flaura Winston, director of the NSF Center for Child Injury Prevention Studies (CChIPS), stands in the Center's virtual simulator room. The Center combines analysis of data related to vehicle crashes with the science of biomechanical epidemiology to make children and adolescents safer. CChIPS is among the FY 2011 Accelerating Innovation Research grantees aiming to transition more research findings into industry.
