Adjusted for inflation, budget authority remains below FY 2010 levels (click for more detail).

In current dollars, federal budget authority for R&D spending has returned to Fiscal Year (FY) 2010 levels. But, when adjusted for inflation, R&D budget authority is about $14 billion below FY 2010.
