EFRI FY 2014 Solicitation

The EFRI Office has launched a new funding opportunity for interdisciplinary teams of researchers to embark on rapidly advancing frontiers of fundamental engineering research. For this new solicitation, we will consider proposals that aim to investigate emerging frontiers ideas on:

TWO-DIMENSIONAL ATOMIC-LAYER RESEARCH AND ENGINEERING (2-DARE)

Letter of Intent (required) Due Date: September 18, 2013

Preliminary Proposal (required) Due Date: October 25, 2013

Full Proposal (By invitation) Due Date: February 10, 2014

INFORMATION WEBCAST:
EFRI will conduct a webcast briefing on September 05, 2013 for approximately 2.0 hours, at the National Science Foundation headquarters in Arlington, Virginia.  The event is scheduled from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm in Stafford II room 595 with conference call connection and webcast URL projected on screen. The Webcast Briefing will discuss the program scope, relevant research and education direction and themes, and potential international and industry collaboration dimensions of the program. NSF program officials will be present to comment and respond to questions.
