Submission Window and Important Proposal Info

CBET Applicants:  Please note that CBET has changed to a single submission window policy for unsolicited proposals in all 17 of its programs starting in the fiscal year 2015 competition.  The new dates are as follows (due at 5pm local time of the submitting institution):

Full Proposal Window: October 1, 2014 - November 5, 2014

October 1 - October 20, Annually Thereafter

Note that if the last day of a future submission window falls on a weekend or official federal government holiday, the deadline is always the following business day, at 5 pm local time where the submitting institution resides.  Unsolicited proposals received outside of the announced proposal window dates will be returned without review.

Proposals which are not compliant with the Proposal and Award Policies and Procedures Guide (PAPPG) will also be returned without review.

CBET discourages the submission of more than one proposal from the same PI during the proposal-submission window. Proposals that are duplicates of, or substantially similar to, a proposal already under consideration by NSF from the same submitter are subject to return without review. This policy also applies to proposals that were previously reviewed and declined and have not been substantially revised, as well as to duplicates of other proposals that were already awarded.
