Chemical, Bioengineering, Environmental, and Transport Systems (CBET)

Submission Window and Important Proposal Info

The next CBET unsolicited proposal window will be:

October 1 - October 20, 2015

October 1 - October 20, Annually Thereafter

Unsolicited proposals received outside of the announced proposal window dates will be returned without review. Proposals that are not compliant with the Proposal and Award Policies and Procedures Guide (PAPPG) will also be returned without review.  CBET applicants are encouraged to read the Dear Colleague Letter on Automated Compliance Checking and Proposal Submission, which affects Principal Investigators for the upcoming October 2015 unsolicited proposal window (NSF 15-095).

CBET discourages the submission of more than one proposal from the same PI during the proposal-submission window. Proposals that are duplicates of, or substantially similar to, a proposal already under consideration by NSF from the same submitter are subject to return without review. This policy also applies to proposals that were previously reviewed and declined and have not been substantially revised, as well as to duplicates of other proposals that were already awarded.
